Towels Ratchet, 8mm socket

6mm Allen wrench (provided) 10mm socket

3/16” Allen wrench (provided) 13mm socket

7/16” or 11mm wrench

Always cover the front fender and gas tank with a towel to prevent possible damage during installation.

1. Loosely install the two mounting plates onto the windshield*, using the bottom bolt and the third bolt up. Leave the nylon washers off. The small tab goes at the bottom, big tab on the third bolt up. Carefully set the windshield aside for later installation.

Install Note: *– Tabs will point away from headlight cutout when installed correctly.

2. Using a ratchet with an 8mm socket and a 10mm socket remove the two bolts on each side of the lower triple tree that secure the fork tins (chrome covers) – total of four bolts.

With the ratchet, a 10mm socket and a 13mm socket, and the bolts and washers from the kit, install the bracket assemblies.

3. Using the 6mm Allen wrench provided, remove the two, upper triple tree pinch bolts. Replace them with the L- shaped upper bracket assemblies. New longer bolts with spacers are provided. (see figure 1)

4. Once all four mounting brackets are in place, and secure, loosen the four quick-change bolts on the mounting brackets and slip the windshield onto the motorcycle. Start the bottom slot first before engaging the upper slot.

5. With the windshield in place, adjust the angle to the desired position, and tighten the quick-change bolts.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.

Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
