SPORTSHIELD W/ 9” HDLT. MOUNTING KIT

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/16” ALLEN WRENCH

                                      

 

1.      Install the mounting plates on the windshield using the bolts that are pre-assembled on the mounting plates. The rubber grommet should be inserted through the hole in the windshield so that the flat round part of the grommet lays flat on both sides of the windshield. On each plate, get both started before you tighten either.

 

Install Note: Tabs point out towards the edge of the windshield if installed correctly.

                       (SEE PICTURES FOR PROPER TAB MOUNTING)

 

2.      Carefully loosen the quick-change mounting points and safely remove the fats/slims from the

motorcycle and place it in a safe location, for proper storage use a Memphis Shades windshield

storage bag part #MEM9080 for fats/slims and  part #MEM9085 for sportshields.

 

3.      Place the new shield onto the quick change mounting points and adjust for height and angle.

 

4.      Check carefully for gas tank and radiator clearance and tighten down all mounting hardware.

 

WARNING: This is a quick disconnect kit. Always tighten down all mounting bolts 

                      after removing or installing the windshield, every time.

 

             

                            

 

Care and Cleaning

 

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid.

Use a soft cloth such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield use

NOVUS #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish specifically designed for plastic, glass

Cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield. Never use any glass products.

Never use any Petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia.

This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
