MEMPHIS FATS/SLIMS LOWERS MOUNTING KIT for H-D WIDE, NARROW,

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS / PARTS LIST

 

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/16” Allen wrench (provided)

 

1.       Attach the lowers plastic to the lowers mounting plates using the pre-assembled bolts and button nuts. Install the components in the order shown in Figure 1.

 

Note: The mounting plate tabs should point away from each other when installed correctly. (see Figure 2)

 

2.       Remove the windshield and set it aside.

 

NOTE: The neoprene washers have been replaced by FOUR Santoprene Grommets. The rubber grommet should be inserted through the holes in the windshield so that the flat part of the grommet lays flat on each side of the windshield.

 

3.       Add the lowers spacers to the fork clamp assemblies, using the longer bolts provided. (see note)  The lowers spacer should go between the beveled socket washer and the existing spacer, or between the beveled socket washer and the fork clamp. (see Figure 3)

 

Note: With the optional 1/8” spacer installed, use the 3/4” long bolt provided (longer). Without the 1/8” spacer installed, use the 5/8” long bolt provided

 

4.       Re-install the windshield in the inner slot. Then, slip the lowers into the outer slot.(see figure 4)

 

5.       Adjust the height and angle and the tighten the four mounting bolts.

 

Warning: Never ride with any part of the mounting hardware missing or loose.
