LOW PROFILE INDEPENDENT LOWERS HARDWARE KIT FOR

HONDA 1800 VTX 2001-2001

 

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/16” Allen wrench (provided)

 

1.                                           Cover the front fender with a towel, in case you drop something.

 

2.                                          Attach the lowers plastic to the lowers mounting plates using the pre-assembled  bolts and button nuts. Install the components in the order shown in Figure 1.

 

3.                                          The mounting plate tabs should point away from each other when installed correctly. (see Figure 2)

 

Note: The mounting plates can be mounted pointing up, for those applications where the windshield is too short to reach them other wise

 

4.                                          Loosely install the two fork clamps onto the forks. MAKE SURE THE LOWERS WILL CLEAR ALL FENDERS, RADIATORS,OIL COOLERS, ETC. WHEN INSTALLED. Attach the lowers mounting plates to the fork clamps. Adjust height, angle and position of  the clamps and then tighten them.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

 

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use NOVUS #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish like MEMPHIS SHADES SHINOLA which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.

Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or an harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
