Cover the tank and fender with towels to prevent damage during installation.

1. Loosely attach the four, rod collar assemblies to the windshield using the santoprene grommets. The rubber grommet should be inserted through the holes in the windshield so that the grommet lays flat on each side of the windshield. (See Figure 1.1 & 1.2)

2. Insert the short ends of the “L” rods into the upper rod collars and hold the windshield up in the desired position. Move the rods around until they intersect the handlebars and clamps. (In some cases you may want to use the other rods, as they are interchangeable).

3. Loosely mount the handlebar clamps (on 7/8” bars, use the sizing bands provided). (See Figure 2)

4. Slip the upper mounting rods into the rod holders on the handlebar clamps.

5. Loosely install lower fork clamps with the rod collars facing out. (See Figure 3) Slip the lower rods into the rod collars.

6. While everything is still loose, carefully check tank clearance, shield height/angle and alignment to make sure nothing is in a bind. Tighten everything.

NEVER RIDE WITH ANY PART OF THE MOUNTING HARDWARE MISSING OR LOOSE.

CARE AND CLEANING

To clean your windshield, wash it with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth.

To protect your windshield, use NOVUS #2 to remove minor scratches, or use Memphis Shades Shinola polish specially designed for plastic. NEVER use glass cleansing agents, they may cause severe damage to your windshield.

Never use any petroleum-based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia.
