MEMPHIS FATS/SLIM MOUNTING KIT

SUZUKI VZ800V MARAUDER 97-2002

 

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/16” ALLEN WRENCH (PROVIDED)

                                       7/16” (OR 7MM) ALLEN WRENCH

 

1.      Loosely install the two mounting plates on the windshield, using the bottom and third bolt up. Leave the nylon washers off. The small tab goes at the bottom, big one at the top. (See Figure 1-for reference only, tabs must point in towards center)

 

       Install Note:     *(Wide) – Tabs point out towards edge of windshield when installed correctly.          

 

2.      Install the four fork clamps, approximately 1.75 inches apart. Tighten them, and then loosen them. 

      (See Figure 2)

 

3.      Loosen the four bolts that are to hold the windshield to the fork clamps, and slide the mounting plates onto the forks. (See Figure 3)

 

4.      Adjust the height, angle, and alignment of the shield and tighten down the bolts that hold the windshield to the plates, then the bolts that hold the plates to the fork clamps, then the clamps themselves.

 

      WARNING: This is a quick disconnect kit. Always tighten down all mounting bolts after removing or installing the windshield, every time.

Care and Cleaning

 

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid.

Use a soft cloth such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield use

NOVUS #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish specifically designed for plastic, glass

Cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield. Never use any glass products.

Never use any Petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia.

This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
