(1) 6mm Allen wrench (provided)

(1) 7/16” or 11mm wrench

Always cover the front fender and gas tank with a towel to avoid possible damage.

1. Using the 6mm Allen wrench provided, remove the two, original, upper triple tree pinch bolts. Replace them with the L-shaped upper bracket assemblies. New longer bolts with spacers are provided. (See Figure 1)

2. Using a 8mm wrench, remove the two bolts that hold the turn signal bar in place, slip the lower bracket from the kit behind the turn signal bar and re-install the bolts. The mounting tabs on the lower mounting bracket should be turned up and facing toward the rear of the bike. (See Figure 2)

3. Loosely attach the windshield to the windshield mounting plates using the bottom and third bolt up on each side. Leave the nylon washers off. The mounting tabs should be pointing away from the headlight when installed correctly. (See Figure 3)

4. Loosen the mounting bolts on the upper and lower brackets that hold the windshield plates. Slip the windshield plates onto the mounting brackets, starting the bottom of the windshield mounting plate first.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.

Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
