MEMPHIS FATS VALKYRIE MOUNTING KIT

HONDA GL 1500 C VALKYRIE 97-2000

 

TOOLS REQUIRED: 3/16” ALLEN WRENCH (PROVIDED)

                                      7/16” (OR 7MM) ALLEN WRENCH

 

1.                  Loosely install the two mounting plates on the windshield, using the bottom and third bolt up. Leave the nylon washers off. The small tab goes at the bottom, big one at the top. (See Figure 1-for reference only, Valkyrie plate is not shown)

 

             Install Note:     *(Wide) – Tabs point, in towards each other when installed correctly.

 

2.                  Install the four fork clamps, approximately 2 inches apart. Tighten them, and then loosen them. (See Figure 2)

 

3.                  Loosen the four bolts that are to hold the windshield to the fork clamps, and slide the mounting plates onto the forks. (See Figure 3)

 

4.                  Adjust the height, angle, and alignment of the shield and tighten down the bolts that hold the windshield to the plates, then the bolts that hold the plates to the fork clamps, then the clamps themselves.

 

WARNING: This is a quick disconnect kit. Always tighten down all mounting bolts after        removing or installing the windshield, every time.

Care and Cleaning Instructions

 

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.

Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
