TOOLS REQUIRED: 5/16” or 6mm Allen wrench (6mm provided)                           3/16” Allen wrench (provided)

                                              7/16” or 11 mm Wrench

   

ALWAYS COVER THE FRONT FENDER AND GAS TANK TO AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGE

 

1.        Loosely attach the windshield mounting plates to the windshield, using the bottom most bolt and the third bolt up. 

        The small tab goes at the bottom, big tab at the top.  The tabs on the mounting plates point in towards each other

        when installed correctly. (See figure 1)

 

2.     Locate the upper and lower mounting points on the sides of the front fork covers. (See figure 2)

 

3.        Remove the original bolts located on the sides of the covers.  Reinstall the thin aluminum strip using the

       new longer top and bottom mounting bolts and spacers provided. (See figure 3)(shown with optional lowers spacers)

 

4.       Install the windshield by slipping the windshield mounting plates into the slots between the spacers.  Adjust the height and angle of the windshield and tighten down all mounting bolts.

 

WARNING: NEVER RIDE WITH ANY PART OF YOUR MOUNTING HARDWARE MISSING OR LOOSE

Care and Cleaning Instructions

 

To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches, or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.

Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
