TOOLS REQUIRED: (1) Towel

1.
Cover the front fender with
a towel, just in case you drop something on it.
2.
Remove the headlight lens by
extracting the two Phillips head screws located on the sides of the headlight
housing. Set it aside for later
re-installation.
3.
Remove the turn signal bar
using a 5MM Allen Wrench, remove the two allen head
screws located between the forks on the underside of the bar and the third bolt
located just under the headlight (use the hole in the bottom of the headlight
housing to get to the third bolt)
4.
Let the turn signal bar hang
gently while you install the brackets.
5.
Remove the four bolts on the
front of the fork covers, there are two located on the fork covers above the
headlight, and two behind the turn signal bar that was just removed.
6.
Install the mounting
brackets using the original bolts. Place
one black spacer washer at the top between the bracket and the motorcycle.
7.
Re-install the turn signal
bar and headlight lens and loosen the four mounting points on the sides of the brackets to receive the windshield.
8.
Loosely install the windshield
mounting plates using the third bolt up and the bottom bolt on each side of the
windshield. (NOTE: The mounting tabs should point outward or towards the edge
of the windshield when installed properly.)
9.
Mount the windshield onto
the brackets and adjust the angle and height and tighten all mounting bolts.
NEVER RIDE WITH ANY HARDWARE MISSING OR LOOSE, CONTACT
To clean your windshield,
use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft
cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please
use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches,
or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola
which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents
will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void
your warranty.
Never use
any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia,
bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone, and
gasoline.
