ALWAYS COVER THE
FRONT FENDER AND GAS TANK TO PREVENT ANY POSSIBLE DAMAGE
1. Install the mounting plates on the windshield using the bolts
that are pre-assembled on the mounting plates. The Santoprene
grommet should be inserted through the holes in the windshield so that the flat
round part of the grommet
lays flat on both sides of
the windshield. On each plate, get both started before you tighten either . (See Figure 1.1 & 1.2)
Install Note: *(Narrow) -Tabs point away from
each other when installed correctly.
2. Loosely install the four fork clamps on the
forks, approximately 1.75 inches apart. (See figure 2)
3. Loosen the four bolts that are to hold the windshield to the
fork clamps, and slide the mounting plates onto the fork clamps. (See figure 3)
4. Adjust the height, angle, and alignment of the shield and
tighten down the bolts that hold the windshield to the plates, then the bolts
that hold the plates to the fork clamps, then the clamps themselves.
5. WARNING:
This is a quick disconnect kit.
Always tighten down all mounting bolts after removing
or installing
the windshield every time

and Cleaning Instructions
To clean your windshield,
use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft
cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please
use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches,
or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is
specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing agents will cause severe
damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.
Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning
agents with ammonia, bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake
fluid, acetone, and gasoline.
