ALWAYS COVER THE FRONT FENDER AND GAS TANK WITH A TOWEL TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE DURING INSTALLATION
1. Loosely install the two
mounting plates onto the windshield*. The
santoprene grommet should be inserted through the
holes in the windshield so that the flat round part of the grommet lays flat on
both sides of the windshield. Start both tabs before tightening them
completely. (See Figures 3.1 and 3.2 for tab orientation) Carefully set
the windshield aside for later installation.
Install Note: *– Tabs will point away
from headlight cutout when installed correctly.
2. Locate the cable holder
securing the front brake line and throttle cable. It is mounted under the upper triple
tree. (Fig 1.1) Using a 12 MM wrench, remove the bolt and place Bracket “A” in between the bolt and the cable
holder. Re-install the bolt and repeat
for the Clutch side using bracket “B”
(Fig 1.2)
3. Next, locate the two lower
mounting bolts on the throttle side, which are at the bottom of the chrome fork
cover in the lower triple tree. Using an
8 MM wrench remove them both and install bracket “C” with the tab pointing upwards. (Fig 2.1) Repeat on the
clutch side using bracket “D”. (Fig 2.2)
4. Once all four mounting
brackets are in place, and secure, loosen the four quick-change bolts on the
mounting brackets and slip the windshield onto the motorcycle. Start the bottom slot first before engaging
the upper slot. See figures 3.1 and 3.2 for illustration.
5. With the windshield in
place, adjust the angle to the desired position, and tighten the quick-change
bolts.
REMEMBER-WITH QUICK-CHANGE HARDWARE, ALWAYS TIGHTEN THE MOUNTING POINTS EVERY TIME YOU TAKE THE WINDSHIELD OFF OR PUT IT ON.

use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft
cloth, such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please
use Novus #1 and #2 to remove
minor scratches. Glass cleansing agents
will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void
your warranty.
Not all plastic cleaners or
polishes are suitable for your windshield as there are many types of plastic.

and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth, such as a
T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches, or
use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola
which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass cleansing
agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will
void your warranty. Never use any glass
products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia,
bleach or any harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, brake fluid, acetone,
and gasoline.
